Privacy
Calctro is a calculator. It doesn't need to know who you are, and it doesn't try to find out.
The app
- Your calculations stay on your device. Registers, programs and settings are stored only on your phone or tablet. There are no accounts and no cloud sync.
- Usage statistics are off unless you turn them on. On first launch the app asks whether you'd like to share anonymous usage statistics; you can change your answer any time in Settings. Nothing is recorded or sent until you agree.
- What is sent if you agree. Which calculator models and settings are used, when a program is run, error messages shown (for example "Error 5"), functions that aren't available yet, and how long a session lasted and how many keys were pressed. Each event carries a random install number created when you agree, the app version and the operating system. Never your numbers, programs, clipboard, location, contacts or any device identifier.
- Where it goes. To PostHog's EU data centre (eu.i.posthog.com), used only by Calctro to improve the app. The data isn't linked to a person, isn't used for advertising and isn't sold or shared. Turning statistics off deletes the install number from your device.
This website
- Analytics without cookies by default. calctro.com counts visits with EU-hosted PostHog. Unless you allow cookies in the banner, it stores nothing on your device and counts visits anonymously. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, analytics doesn't load at all.
- Server logs. Our server notes redirects and missing pages (the address requested, not who requested it) to keep the site working.
